They’ll fill in prompts about their likes, dislikes, and personal strengths, as well as define what leadership means to them. Ogres are like onions and middle schoolers are like ogres... erm onions. LAYERS! They have layers! I had the kids cut their onions and then I used the onions to make a cute bulletin board.
Help students discover and express the different sides of who they are! This activity helps kids explore what people at school know about them and what parts of themselves are more personal or less visible to others. It’s a chance to reflect, get creative, and share their identity in a way that feels true to them. It's fancy show-and-tell.

This activity helps students discover their tendency—Upholder, Questioner, Obliger, or Rebel—by taking a short quiz. They’ll reflect on how their tendency affects leadership and teamwork, then collaborate on a Tendency Manifesto to explore strengths, challenges, and ways to work with others. The goal is to build self-awareness and improve group dynamics!
