Heritage/History Month Resources
My students really enjoyed the Black History Month slides I found from The Thoughtful Planner on TPT, so I thought I'd try making my own!
I am happy to provide these resources completely free of charge.
If you would like to support my work, you can Venmo me (@sabocat_teacher) or purchase something from my Amazon wishlist (personal or classroom).
Women's History Month
I used ChatGPT to write the synopsizes and found short videos (>4 minutes) to extend the information.
Holidays of the Year 2024
I used ChatGPT to write the synopsizes and found short videos (>4 minutes) to extend the information.
Black History Month Slides
I got some feedback that some teachers didn't always have time in the day to show the videos. With the help of AI, I made these slides with a mixture of text and videos, so if you don't have time to show the video, you can still read (or have a student read) about influential people, groups, items, art, and more related to Black history.
Native American Heritage Month Slides
These slides have a mix of influential Native peoples, as well as foods, art forms, celebrations, and social issues affecting Native people in the United States.
Hispanic Heritage Month Slides
There is a mix between biographies of influential Latine people and fun elements of Latine culture.
AAPI Heritage Month Slides
Each one comes with a little bio from Wikipedia and then a short video (2-8 minutes long) about the person.
